Reflects on spending a summer in the Siren Scoop back swim suit!
As an STA brand ambassador I decided to support our partnership with Zoggs and invested in a Zoggs thermal silver lined cossie……what a game changer!
As a year round open water swimmer and coach, swimming teacher, fair weather surfer, mermaid and SUP enthusiast I took to the water this summer with the siren scoop back Swim suit.
Swimming at my local spot in Bewl water on the Kent/East Sussex boarder weekly has earnt me the nickname of “mermaid” as this is the costume I have been seen wearing for the last few months. I even swam two miles in it in the river Thames accompanied by a tail and fin at the Henley swim festival and had an amazing ocean mermaid session when visiting Cornwall.
Did it pass the swim test?
It is probably the easiest swim suit I have ever put on, sliding smoothly over the lumps and bumps of an age 40 plus swimmer.
The swim suit is true to size, super comfortable and most importantly has stood up to a summer of being thrown in the back of the van, left in the bottom of kit bags and hung on a line in the scorching sun.
I love the versatility of the swim suit and have teamed it with shorts and flip flops for lazy afternoons with the kids in the garden. It’s also been my go to swim suit for my Paddle board adventures in Kent and Cornwall, and several places in between. It’s been submerged in chlorine at least twice a week when I am in the pool teaching swimming to non-swimmers.
I’ve been so impressed with this swim suit when out on my paddle board, it’s been comfortable for paddling in and has enough coverage to wear it alone, or works perfectly for layering up on those windier/cooler river paddles.
All in all, I have loved this swim suit and I’ll be getting another design soon to see me through the Autumn and Winter, starting with my “dip a day” in October.
Zoggs are helping to lead the way with their sustainable swim wear and plastic promise, so it’s excellent to know I am buying from a brand with a good ethos that’s making manageable strokes to reduce its carbon impact.
