This March, Zoggs will launch a new partnership with leading research and support charity, Breast Cancer Now.

The initiative will see them raise £25,000 for the charity through challenge events, online donations and contributions from leisure center partners including Places Leisure and Everyone Active*. To mark World Health Day on 7 April, £5 from each piece of women's and men's swimwear sold on zoggs.com will go to Breast Cancer Now’s research and support for a 7-day period**.

The money raised through the partnership will support the charity in achieving its ambition that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives – and is supported to live well. Alongside the fundraising, the partnership aims to highlight the beneficial role of exercise for people affected by breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with one woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. Every year, around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with the disease. As the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now funds world-class research and life changing support for people affected by breast cancer.

Zoggs as a leading swim brand, champions the joy of swimming. The brand is committed to empowering and supporting the swim community, whatever may come their way. As part of the initiative, the brand also plans to unite with community and fitness app Her Spirit to arrange exciting fundraising challenges to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Charlotte Thomas (pictured left below), Head of Zoggs Marketing, said: “Many of our customers, colleagues and friends have been affected by this devastating disease, so we felt compelled to take action. We are proud to partner with  Breast Cancer Now and be part of helping them achieve their ambition, and support people affected by breast cancer at all stages of treatment. We know how important it is that breast cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, so we’re proud to be using this partnership to highlight this in our community.”

Rachael Franklin, Director of Fundraising, Communications and Engagement at Breast Cancer Now, said: “We know that there are many benefits of physical activity like swimming throughout someone’s breast cancer experience, which is why we are delighted to be partnering with Zoggs this year. The partnership will allow us not only to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now’s research and support, but it will enable us to share health information on early detection with their community. We know that the sooner breast cancer is detected, the higher the chance of treatment being successful.

“We are incredibly grateful to the team and their loyal customers for supporting Breast Cancer Now. Making a purchase from the Zoggs collection and participating in their fundraising challenges will help us change the future of breast cancer and realise our ambition that by 2050 everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and be supported to live well.”

Launching the collaboration on 7th April World Health Day, Zoggs shall be donating £5 for each piece of swimwear sold* on Zoggs.com to Breast Cancer Now.

More details on upcoming plans will be shared via Zoggs.com, @ZoggsUK and the Zoggs newsletter.
