Zoggs Oceans of Fun Days

In an effort to get even more children adopting a healthy lifestyle and involved in water based sports, we are delighted to announce that our hugely popular Zoggs Oceans of Fun days will continue throughout 2015 and on into 2016.

Zoggs Oceans of Fun Days

We are touring nationwide with our Oceans of Fun Day events providing up to 300 free spaces at each event for children aged 7 to 14 years old to experience a number of different aquatic activities ranging from fast swimming, to synchronised swimming to water polo and to rookie lifeguard. These days are not solely about fun though. Safety in and around the water is of paramount importance to us and therefore a fifth poolside activity takes place where we teach the children Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as a first aid technique that can be used if someone is not breathing properly or if their heart has stopped.

The events feature a morning or afternoon session of skills and games across the different aquatic disciplines, with every participant getting the chance to try all of the activities. Each activity will be led by an expert with the fast swimming, synchronised swimming and water polo being led by Olympic or Commonwealth athletes who have represented GB. The athletes will be introduced at the beginning of the event and the children (and their families) will have the opportunity to meet the athletes outside of the pool for autographs, photos and the showing of Olympic and Commonwealth medals.

Each child taking part will receive a Zoggs Oceans of Fun swimming cap and be presented with a medal at the end of the event – after having the chance to race against a GB athlete

Zoggs are running these days in partnership with Total Swimming, the UK’s leading private sector swimming organisation founded by Olympic swimmers Steve Parry and Adrian Turner.

Steve Parry said: "We are really excited to have extended our partnership with Zoggs to run this series of Zoggs Oceans of Fun Days. Zoggs is a swim brand with a real passion for swimming and, by using role models in the form of Olympic and Commonwealth athletes, we hope to inspire, motivate and educate young people who will have the chance to come along and take part in these events for free."
