When purchasing Zoggs swimwear we want to ensure that you get maximum usage and longevity out of our swimwear. We take product quality and safety seriously at Zoggs and we want to ensure that you care for your swimwear correctly!

The most common causes of swimwear to deteriorate is chemicals, such as chlorine. Chlorine levels vary across all pools, some may have more than others, but it is very dependent. Exposure will differ each time you swim.
The most common factors that accelerate deterioration in your swimwear:
· Chlorine – Long exposure to chlorine break down elastic fibers, reducing fabric elasticity.
· Seawater/Saltwater – Sea water can dry out and damage elastic fibers, making your swimwear more prone to tearing and fragile.
· UV Exposure: Long exposure to sun rays damage elastic fibers and fade colors, more so when the swimsuit is wet.
· High Heat – Dryers, Irons, Hot tubs, Saunas also reduces elastic fibers, reducing the lifespan of your swimsuit.
· Skin Products – Sun screen, tanning oil, lotions, are all contributing to breakdown of fibers over time.
· Aggressive Washing – Frequent usage of washing machines can damage the fabric and loss of elasticity.
· Fabric Softeners – Weakens elastic fibers, making your swimwear less durable.
· Excessive Stretch – Overstretching the swimwear during wear can deform elastic fibers, leading to loss of shape and elasticity over time, it mustn’t be too tight, or worn during high-intensity activities without correct fit.
