YOKO QUICK SWIM BAG HACKS!
1. Pack a pound coin for the lockers - If not, we have it on record that two 20p coins can also do the trick!
2. Pack the bag in reverse - This will save time and energy (and hopefully avoid the post-swim meltdowns!).
What you need at the end goes in first (i.e. a change of clothes or pajamas if you’re going swimming at the end of the day), then towels, followed by the things you’ll need as soon as you arrive at the pool: swimming costumes, goggles (our kids love the little ripper goggles), and the ever-important pool toys!
3. Swim toys are essential for our pool trips!
Zoggs diving sticks and rings, as well as the splash ball, keep the confident swimmers entertained for ages, as they can dive down and pretend to be scuba divers. The Seal Flips and Zoggy Soakers are perfect and safer for the little ones, as they float. The bag isn’t finished until the pool toys are in!
4. Bring a wet bag to throw all the wet towels and clothes into. When you get home, just pop the contents of the wet bag into the washing machine (or hang to dry), plus the wet bag keeps the rest of the items in the pool bag dry.
5. Pack snacks!
Swimming inexplicably leads to rabid hunger for all parties afterward - it helps to have a snack ready for the kids. It buys you time to get dressed without flashing anyone (anyone else’s kids tug at their towel?), plus snacks help stave off meltdowns (WINNING!).
