The Essentials for your Open Water Kit

We all know open water swimming is good for your physical and metal health but it can be a bit daunting if you aren't sure what kit you will need. We have put together a list of the essentials for every open water kit.

1. A Bright Swimming Cap

A bright swimming cap is essential for your open water kit so that you can be seen by other people using the water, lifeguards and the people you are swimming with. 

 

2. Goggles

Goggles are going to be helpful so that you can see around you if you don’t have goggles on you might miss certain safety hazards, sea life in the water and the people you are swimming with. 3. Swimsuit

4. Tow Float or Swim Buoy

Once again tow floats are essential from a safety perspective to make sure you are visible to those around you, you can also carry your keys and a snack with you in the water and are great to rest on for a little rest on if you’re feeling a little bit tired during your swim

 

 

 

 

After the Swim

Having something to eat or drink once you are out of the water especially if it is really hot then you want to make sure you are placing fluid you might have lost during your swim. You will also need to have some light layers to put on after you dry off with a towel
