What is Ecolast Made From?
Fact: 640,000 tonnes of fishing nets are left in the oceans each year, many of which remain in the marine ecosystem for hundreds of years.
How it's Made
1. Abandoned ghost fishing nets are recovered from the ocean.
2. Recovered nets are cleaned of foreign materials and prepared for regeneration.
3. At the ECONYL® depolymerisation plant, the nets are regenerated into high quality nylon.
4. Finally, the ECONYL® yarn is used to produce Zoggs Ecolast™ swimwear.
High Quality Fabric
Ecolast™ is made using 78% ECONYL® regenerated
yarn and 22% LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ for a super
soft, high performance swimwear fabric.
Comfortable and Supportive
Ecolast™ not only boasts superior shape retention,
but also comes with all your favourite features
so you feel comfortable and supported.
Our Ecolast™ fabric has proven to be 15 times
more resilient to chlorine than standard swimwear
fabrics. With exceptional resistance to suncreams,
heat and sweat, it will look great swim after swim.
