We understand that not being able to see clearly can really dampen your swim. Swimming should be stress free; simply throw your kit on, hop in and get your swim on. That’s part of the beauty of it! But those who can’t see clearly without their glasses or contacts can’t fully experience this same freedom. Swimming can even become frustrating or daunting, and many new swimmers are put off from getting in altogether because of this.
Here at Zoggs we believe that everybody should have the opportunity to experience the unrestricted joy of swimming. That’s why we are pleased to introduce our NEW Vision Corrective Lens Goggle.
The starting point for selecting the right prescription lenses is to obtain a prescription from your optician. You can ask your optician for a copy of your prescription at any time or book an up-to-date eye examination. Once you have your prescription to hand choosing the right lenses for you is easy. Below we will explain how.
On your prescription you should be given a Sph (Sphere) or DS (Dioptre Sphere) value for each eye, like so:
If you only have Sph values on your prescription then simply choose the same strength goggle lenses.
If your prescription falls between two of the options on offer, we would recommend moving DOWN to the next available dioptre. For example, if your prescription is -3.75 then move down to -3.5. This causes less strain and you will be unlikely to notice any significant loss of clarity within a reasonable distance. There is also a slight magnifying effect when underwater.
If you have Astigmatism (slightly rugby ball shaped eyes) then as well as a Sph value, you should also have a Cyl (cylinder) value on your prescription:
If you have both Sph and Cyl values then here is a simple table to help calculate the correct lenses for you:

How Do I Know What Lenses To Get?
All you need to find the right lenses for you is an up-to-date prescription from your optician. You can ask your optician for a copy of your prescription at any time. You can then work out what lenses you need by looking at the information provided under the ‘Choosing The Right Lenses For You’ section further up the page.
Is This Goggle Suitable For Children?
If it fits, then absolutely! This goggle is designed for people over the age of 16, so we wouldn’t recommend purchasing for anyone much younger than this, however it can be adjusted to suit smaller heads.
I Have Astigmatism. Does This Matter?
For more information on selecting the right lenses if you have astigmatism, take a look at our Astigmatism Dioptre Graph further up the page. Please note however, our goggles are more suitable for those with mild astigmatism. If your cyl (cylinder) value is quite high, you may need to consider a custom made product.
What is The Highest Prescription You Offer?
Our prescription lenses range from -2.0 all the way up to -8.0.
