Equipment Training

If you're looking to improve your swimming technique by using one of our pieces of equipment, we have some great videos that show how best to use them. These will all help with different areas of improvement and will help you progress.

Pull Buoy

Zoggs Pull Buoy is designed to isolate the upper body, improving upper body strength and stroke technique. The ergonomic construction sits comfortably between your thighs to immobilise your legs but also be held between the ankles which will make for a more challenging workout for your torso and upper body as you try to keep your body straight whilst swimming.

The Pull Buoy is best used with hand paddles to further focus on improving upper body strength and stroke technique. Voted Best on Test by 220 Triathlon Magazine in August 2015.

Hand Paddles

Zoggs Matrix Hand Paddles are designed to improve your stroke technique as they force your hand to stay straight as you pull through the water. They are ergonomically contoured in design for optimum performance and feature a scooped front-end to catch the phase of your stroke with added holes to increase your feel of the water.

As well as improving stroke performance, hand paddles can help to build strength in arms and shoulders. The soft TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) outer edge allows for flexibility in the finger tips for added comfort. If you are considering training with hand paddles for the first time, you should always begin training with a smaller size (i.e. medium) regardless of the size of your hand until you become used to the added drag.

Kickboard

Zoggs EVA Kickboard is a durable kickboard designed for improved efficiency in the water with hand cut-outs for a secure hold. Designed for training to help focus on kick technique and help reduce muscle fatigue.

Fins

Fancy stepping up a lane? Well you'll have no problem getting the most out of your swim with our New Style Junior Ultra Blue Fins. Our dual density co-moulded silicone blade fins have been specifically engineered for optimum propulsion, performance and durability (that's speed and comfort to you and me).

The silicone blade is rigid and durable, creating a balanced and natural rhythmic kick meaning your new found speed will feel effortless! To make flinging these fins on and getting in the water a breeze we have also included a small tab on the heel as well as grip on the underneath. Comes with a handy mesh carry bag.

Centre Line Snorkel

Zoggs Centre Line Snorkel is a handy swim training aid which allows you to focus on perfecting your stroke without the need to turn your head to breathe. Using a swim snorkel enables you to concentrate on your body position in the water as you don't have to turn your head to breathe. You will be able to align your head and spine and hold the lower part of your body higher in the water.

By not having to look away to breathe, you are able to watch your hand position as it enters the water and correct if necessary. The adjustable head bracket is designed to not interfere with your goggles, providing a secure fit and reinforced split yoke strap for comfort. The snorkel comes with a nose clip and angled Vylux mouthpiece for superb comfort and encouraging a focus on stroke rather than turning for the next breath.
