Long blade Fins are a great asset to every swim kit and are great to incorperate into every training session. Below are our favourite ways to add Long Blade Fins to your swim session

  • Use in your warm up laps to take the pressure off you shoulders.
  • Improve your kick technique. The increased surface area of the fins helps you to be more aware of the technique of your up-kick and helps you to stop your ankles crossing when you're kicking. Simply add fins for a couple of 50s or 25s and focus on your kicking technique.

How are fins supposed to fit?

When picking your fins it is important to start wiht your shoe size and work from there. Note when putting the fin on dry it will be more difficult to slide your foot in due to the fabrication.

The fin should on your foot snug, you shouldn't be able to fit multiple fingers in the foot pocket along with your foot (this will cause chafing and blisters).

It is okay for your toes to show at the in the pocket but your toes should not sit over the small ridge at the end of the foot pocket.
