Triathlon Series: Top Tri Prep Tips

Triathlon season is in full swing and we are gettting ready for a great season!

Our ambassadors Adam, Alana and Dave have all given there top tips in prepping for a triathlon. 

1.Adam's Top Tips

Adams top tip is to keep it simple and prep the night before. Make a prep list of everything you will need 

  • Hydration 
  • Gels 
  • Racesuit 
  • Goggles 
  • Bike shoes 
  • Helmet 
  • Runners 
  • Hat

 

2. Alana's Top Tips

Swim -  Practice in the open water before the day. Every swim is different adn you want to be prepared for the day. 

Bike -  Practice getting on and off the bike in transition to ensure you are comfortable in the race. 

Run -  Before the race practice running through jelly legs once you are coming off the bike. Go for a bike ride and practice teh transition off the bike. 

 

3. Daves Top Tips

in prepping for your first tri Dave reccommends 

  • Get a good coach or training program to help you through the training 
  • Jump into the open water before the race and practice sighting and swimming in a stright line 
  • Practice your race pace and specific intervals to help you prepare
